Douglas DC-3 Dakota

The legend of passenger aviation. The cradle of the Dc-3 is located in California not far from Los Angeles. There it was starting to build 1935 by Douglas Inc. After first flight in December 1935 it became most popular passenger airliner of the USA and later also world-wide.

Douglas DC-4 Skymaster

After long discussions with different airlines Douglas 1939 submitted the draft of a comparatively large, four-engined air liner. It became the workhorse of passenger aviation in the post-war period and as "Rosinen Bomber" main load carrier of the Berlin air bridge 1948/49.
