December 1999 -- Classic Planes as halogen Designer lamps

A really noble gift idea is the Designer light of the Norderstedter designer R. Bott. He pours airplane classical planes of the samples DC-3, DC-4 and super Constellation on scale 1:72 and converts in aluminum with mirror bright surface to decorative halogen table lights. The respective aluminum casting is two-piece as well with the super Constellation three-part with DC-3 and DC-4. The manual work with careful training of doors, windows and bosses makes each piece a Unikat; altogether only 35 lights are produced. The designer integrated and avoids the halogen reflector (12V/35 Watt) into the lower surface of the respective wings thereby an interference into the outline of airplane. A ball joint makes the model tiltable around all axles.
